Is blogging still alive?

I wonder if blogging is still alive, if it still catches people interest and comments, or...
Or if it survives in some small niches, some specific areas where websites and forums failed miserably.
Twitter and facebook took over a faster communication need that RSS feeds could not? While I still read some blogs I realize how the personal blogging isn't attractive anymore and that facebook connection to youtube and other website has make things easier for the mass.
Thinking about this, I ask myself the meaning for this blog. Should it still be alive?

Sorry for this long silence.

But still, I realize that I'm having a huge problem not to talk about politics. In my country, seems that all the people is looking at what happens when a 79 years old man decides that the fresh blood of some virgins is what he need so desperately to risk his political power. Clinton and Monica? Puah! Amateurs!

Sanofi Pasteur invertirá US$130M en México

La empresa farmacéutica construirá una planta de manufactura de vacunas contra la influenza, que le permitirá dejar de importar el medicamento desde Francia y EE.UU.

La empresa farmacéutica Sanofi-Aventis adelantó que pondrá en marcha una planta de manufactura de vacunas contra la influenza en México con una inversión de US$ 130 millones.

La nueva planta, que estará ubicada en el municipio de Ocoyoacac, será la primera en su tipo construida por una empresa transnacional, y le permitirá a la farmacéutica, dejar de importar vacunas contra la influenza desde Francia y Estados Unidos, según un comunicado de prensa difundido por la empresa.

Sanofi Pasteur México manufacturará la vacuna antigripal en colaboración con Birmex, empresa paraestatal, que se ocupará de ciertas etapas de la elaboración y será responsable de distribuir las vacunas en el país.

El proceso de construcción de la planta durará 18 meses y en ese lapso iniciará un proceso de certificación por parte de las autoridades sanitarias mexicanas.

Las empresas importan sus vacunas de otros países para venderlas en el mercado mexicano, y empresas locales como Birmex no satisfacen la demanda interna.

Según datos de la industria, Sanofi es la mayor farmacéutica en el país, con ingresos por 600 millones de euros en 2008.
